There are two of us and no office, so the fastest way to reach us is a message on one of the accounts we actually read:

• Bluesky — replies or a direct message both work.
• Threads — replies or a direct message both work.
• Instagram — replies or a direct message both work.

We write in Japanese first and answer in English at our own pace, so a reply can take a few days. We read everything.

Corrections

Prices, hours and menus are what we saw on the date stated in the article, and places change. If something is out of date or simply wrong, tell us which article and what you found — we correct the page and note the update date. See our editorial policy.

Questions about a stay or a place

Ask. If we have been there we will tell you what we remember, including the parts that were disappointing. If we have not, we will say so rather than guess — we only write about places we have been to ourselves.

What we say no to

• Sponsored stays, comped meals and press trips.
• Paid posts, paid links, link exchanges and guest posts.
• Reviewing an article, or a mention in one, before it goes live.
